Mariposa’s Art and Talent Show  returns Friday, March 29th at 6pm!

We are looking for wholesome, homegrown acts for the talent show as well as works of visual art for the art show.


*Shining Lights is for 1st-8th grade participants

Registration deadline is: Friday, March 8

All performers require a Registration form and entry fee. Group Acts require ONLY ONE Registration Form and ONLY ONE entry fee. Time limit for performances: 4 minutes.

Friday, March 22

This is the deadline for you to send us your music that will be played over the sound system.

Monday, March 18

This is the deadline for sending your music if you require help editing your music.

Monday, March 25 3:30-5:30



We will contact you to schedule an appointment time between 3:30-5:30.

This is not an audition. This is the time for you to show the SL committee your act, including costumes and props. It’s a low stress opportunity for you to try out your act in the space, and our opportunity for us to get to know your piece, mostly so we can give the show an appropriate order. We expect that all acts will be appropriate for what Mariposa stands for. If not, we will contact you. Parents are welcome to sit in for their child’s performance. 


Wednesday, March 27 at 3:30-6:30

This is a stumble-through of the show to mark transitions between acts, and set lights and sound levels for your specific act.

We ask that parents drop off their performers.

Friday, March 29 at 3:30-5:30

1st-3rd grade go to sibling yard, we will pick up students from sibling yard at 3:15

We will attempt a run-through of the entire show.

Pizza dinner will be provided courtesy of CAPTnS before the show at 6pm

On the registration form you are asked to describe and give us the name of your act. We are trying to avoid duplicate acts (last year we had multiple renditions of Lost Boy). If your number is duplicated it is our policy that the first one to register will have dibs on that number, and any subsequent ones will be contacted and asked to change their act.



ART WORK for the Art Show requires a Registration form and entry fee.

Monday, March 25: Online submission deadline

This is the deadline for you to send us a digital photo of your art piece. We will contact with an email address to send your photo to.

Monday, March 25: In-person submission deadline

This is the deadline for you to bring your submission in-person to the MPR between 3:30-4:30pm. Plan to remain at the MPR until 4:30 so we can video you for a artists video to play at the show.
